Laparoscopic total colectomy for cancer is accepted as the treatment of choice for synchronic colon cancer due to low postoperative pain, faster recovery, shorter hospital stay, and a better cosmetic outcome as compared to open colectomy. A jejunal pouch can avoid fecal incontinence and provide a better quality of life for the patient. The dissection through the correct planes and the systematization of the operative technique might reduce time and improve outcomes.
