Pseudarthrosis of the proximal pole of the scaphoid is difficult to treat surgically. Although the reconstruction is always the best solution for patients, in some cases where the proximal pole is necrotic and often fragmented, it is simpler to replace it with an APSI pyrocarbon implant by arthroscopic technique, which makes it possible to obtain good functional long-term results.
