In this video, a 51-year-old man presenting with nausea, vomiting, weight loss, and abdominal pain was investigated. The preoperative work-up (gastroscopy and CT-scan) showed the presence of a giant diverticulum of the distal portion of the stomach (17cm). A laparoscopic gastroduodenal resection with gastrojejunal anastomosis was performed. An upper GI series was performed on postoperative day 3, showing regular transit. The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged on postoperative day 7.
