This video shows our standardized approach to the wedge-shaped Collis Nissen procedure. The patient is a 69-year-old woman with a large type III paraesophageal hernia. After extensive mediastinal dissection of the esophagus, there was no sufficient intra-abdominal esophageal length to perform a standard fundoplication. That was the reason why we decided to perform the Collis Nissen procedure.
