Studies demonstrated that lung transplant survival has been significantly improved in patients who have benefited from an anti-reflux surgery, generally if surgery is performed before the development of a severe obliterating bronchiolitis, which is the most frequent cause of mortality. This video demonstrates a Nissen fundoplication performed with 3mm instruments in a young woman, 12 months after lung transplant for mucoviscidosis.
