The thoracoscopic approach to lung resections in case of congenital cystic malformations has been well described first by Steven Rothenberg in Denver in 2000. At the beginning of surgery, the main issue is to collapse the cystic lung to increase the surgical space. Reference: Thoracoscopic lung resection in children. Rothenberg SS.
