Redo pyeloplasty surgery is not rare. It can be rendered necessary in the long run, several years after the initial operation. Perioperative adhesions account for the fact that it is extremely difficult to perform a redo surgery using a retroperitoneal access. Transperitoneal access is the only logical approach in these circumstances. Surgery is uneasy. Only a few surgical pediatric teams have real expertise in this field.
