Fluorescence-guided cholecystectomy: a procedure performed live at the Show Chwan Memorial Hospital (IRCAD Taiwan)

Biliary tract injuries during cholecystectomy remain a major concern as they may entail dramatic consequences for patients. Intraoperative cholangiography is generally performed electively considering technical and time constraints related to the approach. Intraoperative fluorescence is a recent real-time imaging technology, and its impact on the rate of biliary complications is under evaluation.
