Nowadays, bariatric surgery involves a wide range of operative procedures. Among these, there is the mini gastric bypass, which was initially described by Rutledge during the early 2000s. Here, we describe the case of a female patient having undergone a mini gastric bypass in 2009, which led to important weight loss followed by a complete weight regain. The preoperative imaging control with contrast swallow revealed a large gastric pouch. A conversion to a laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass was decided upon.
